We exist because finding honest pet insurance advice in Canada is harder than it should be. Most comparison sites are paid to push specific providers, bury the important details in fine print, and leave Canadian pet owners confused about what they’re actually buying.
We do things differently.
Every provider we review is assessed on the same criteria: what’s actually covered, what’s excluded, how claims work in practice, and whether the price is fair for Canadian pet owners. We earn commissions when you purchase through our links — but this never influences our ratings. A provider we don’t recommend doesn’t get recommended on this site, regardless of what they pay.

We are not affiliated with any insurance company. We are not paid to favour any provider. Our only obligation is to the Canadian pet owners who rely on this site to make an informed decision.
How we make money
PawWise earns referral commissions from pet insurance companies when you click our links and purchase a policy. The commission we earn is the same regardless of which provider you choose — so we have no financial incentive to recommend one over another. We also clearly disclose affiliate relationships on every page where they exist.
